St. Jean Bay #6

Studies of St. Jean Bay

These were painted from life (as opposed to those last ones, which I did from photos I snapped on the beach). This is tricky, because the sun comes and goes so quickly around here. But I'm enjoying studying the many blues and greens and observing how they change with the light.

This is what I did today

I've found my happy place. So far, I've just been painting in the gallery, but today I took it to the beach towel. I forgot how much I love painting on the beach. I'll post pics of the little studies i did tomorrow!

St. Barths Residency!

I'm here for a month as a guest artist, painting and showing my work in Eden Rock Gallery, and giving lessons to guests. It's so great to be back! I was here in 2006, and am so fortunate to be able to return. I'll post interesting news and photos of paintings I make here... enjoy!
